Sky Mobile has just announced that their 5G will launch in over 20 towns and cities in the UK including London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and of course, Slough.
EE, BT, Three, Vodafone and O2 have already started this big roleout and are already available in many towns and cities, however Sky Mobile the 6th largest network in the UK have yet to break the threshold into towns.
Currently Sky Mobile has 5G coverage in: London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Leeds, Slough, Leicester, Lisburn, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bradford, Sheffield, Coventry, Nottingham, Norwich, Bristol, Derby and Stoke. This is following their initial launch.
Existing and new customers are offered to upgrade from 4G to 5G for free, which is something Three and Vodafone already offer.
However, it is worth keeping in mind you will need to sign up to the Sky VIP loyalty scheme to receive theses benefits.
Finally you need to be certain that you purchase a 5G handset, as despite paying for a 5G contract, without the right hardware you will not recieve 5G signal.
