A F1 World Champion and visionary

Lauda, who won the Formula 1 drivers’ championship in 1975, 1977 and 1984, and was an aviation entrepreneur, underwent a lung transplant in August 2018, “passed away peacefully” on Monday, his family said.

For most the remarkable acts which he displayed, will be remembered, following the 1976 German Grand Prix. He was so much more than that crash though, bringing joy to millions in his races, and helping to improve the safety of Formula 1 for all.

He also managed to capture the younger fans after rejoining in Formula 1 more recently, working with Mercedes, Jaguar and Ferrari, to name but a few. In 2013 he was also portrayed to a fresh audience following, “Rush”. Which told the tale of the legendary rivalry between Lauda himself and British Driver, James Hunt.

He will be truly missed by all, included in that are the team at BuyRecommended.com.
