Amazon may still continue to accept payments from Visa credit cards despite the previous announcements made in November pledging to do just that.“working closely on a potential solution that will enable customers to continue using their Visa credit cards on Amazon.co.uk.”
Amazon failed to disclose what the solution was, however has said, “should we make any changes related to Visa credit cards, we will give you advance notice.”
We can assume that reasoning behind the cancellation of Visa as a payment method, is due to the company increasing fees five-fold.
Visa jumped from 0.3% to 1.5% when restrictions were lifted by the UK following Brexit.
Visa stock did take a plunge after Amazon had originally made the announcement, so it is to be imagined that Visa has fought to get a relationship back.
