The long awaited Apple mixed reality headset could weigh in at less than your iPhone, but you will have a while to wait with a 2022 release on the cards.
The headset has had some rumours flying around recently, the most recent of which, is from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The analysis he has done leads him to believe the headset will weigh in at less than an iPhone and less than other headsets on the market.
150 grams ids the weight that he believes it will be, that’s less than half the weight of a similar Oculus Quest 2 headset.
However, Bloomberg reported earlier in the year that it will be a while before we can find out for ourselves, with Apple having no plans to release before 2022.
The headset itself codenamed “N301”, could also feature 8K displays with retina tracking tech and cameras to track movement of your hands while using the headset.
But, the price… Apple has apparently been discussing a valuation of $3000, making it more than most competitor products and a similar price to a new 8K television.
