Audi will be adding Apple Music to it’s cars allowing all fans of Apple to stream whether they are driving or not.
This will mean there is no requirement for an additional device so saving space in the pockets for when you just need to run to the shops.
Porsche, another member of the Volkswagen group has already added this feature to the new all electric Taycan.
“Integrating Apple Music into the Audio infotainment system marks the next step in the collaboration between Audi and Apple,” said the Audi head of product marketing Christiane Zorn.
It does show some willingness from automakers to make their cars more approachable, as before this feature you may have had to resort to Bluetooth.
Almost the entire Audi line-up will receive the new feature as standard from 2022, and those with capable systems will receive a software update.
Once the update has been rolled out the functionality will be visible through the Audi Infotainment system.
Apple has already begun in expanding the compatibility of Apple Music, t can now be found on the Android app store.
However, Tesla are still holding strong about making an announcement regarding Apple Music. And has shown no interest in integration in the future.
