General Motors to develop electric pickup range of 400 miles.

General Motors has released a report detailing plans to develop an electric pickup with a range of 400 miles.

The Chevrolet truck called the BET, will be the brands first full-size electric pickup with a good range for a single charge.

The CEO of GM Mary Barra did make an announcement last year that the company were starting to reach completion on development and were expecting sales from late 2021.

Most people who were keeping an eye on the GM line up may have assumed this would be the electric Hummer, which was announced earlier this year.

The company made bold claims about that EV also, “400 miles or more”, despite the gargantuan size of the Hummer concept.

The key thing the company announced was the reduction of the cobalt and that they would be using alternative chemical make up of the battery technology.

This would therefore reduce cost and allow them to reduce the use of the limited resource.

GM has announced 20 vehicles that they plan to electrocute or turn into EV’s by the year 2023.

Something that will be interesting is whether the GM EV can stand up to he like of the Tesla Cybertruck or the Ford line up.
