Google has officially revealed the Pixel 4a in doing so they have given Pixel lovers some hope for the gadget, including a great price and a realistic release date.
October first is the official date given by Google, however pre-orders will start from the tenth of September.
The phone will be around £349, however if you were looking for a 5G variant that will also be available for an extra £150.

The Pixel 4a will also reinstate both the fingerprint scanner and the 3.5mm headphone jack, which have been kept away from most modern day handsets.
The handset will still be punching with its camera, which was highly revered on the original Pixel 4, however rather than a second telephoto lens it will only have the 12.2 megapixel main camera.
However, it will now also have HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography capabilities and fused video stabilisation.
The screen is also getting a bit of a upgrade packing a 5.8-inch OLED screen with a hole-punch on the selfie camera.
The battery that was thought to be the Achilles heel of the original handset, it will now have a 3140mAh battery that Google states will last all day.
The handset also uses machine learning to understand which apps in the background it can reduce the speed of to conserve power.
Finally the internal hardware, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and a Titan M Security Module, alongside 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
