Jeff Bezos is taking on Elon Musk in the space game with his company Blue Origin, and has successfully launched the New Shephard into space.
Unlike most space rockets the New Shephard rocket will return in full, allowing it to be used on other launch attempts.
Billionaire Jeff Bezos founded the Blue Origin company in the year 2000, with the launch facility being finished 15 years later in Texas.
This is the ships 7th consecutive successful flight and therefore breaks the record for the most reused spacecraft.
The New Shepard launched at 9:35am Eastern Standard time, it carried 12 commercial payloads, however that isn’t the eventual aim of the ship.
