The new Motorola Razr has been delayed, a update of the 2005 clamshell design with a vertically folding screen.
The device was due to be released on the 26th of December in the US, however it seems this will now be delayed till January 2020.
At a launch price of £1,170 the phone was always going to be on the higher side, despite this Lenovo the parent company of Motorola, claim demand has been the reason for the delay.
The foldable phones have not had an easy route to market with issues in the Samsung being first to arise, but many more issues have come to light from manufacturers since then.
And it would be amiss to not mention the issues with the way Motorola have taken to the folding screen, leaving a flimsy area of screen on the fold, which looks very precarious.

This has not put them off though and the phone will be released with an insignificant delay.
It has also been made very clear thet this handset will be a fashion accessory, much like the first Razr and at the price tage it does come in under it 2 main rivals the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.
