The next generation of Amazon Echo has been announced, this time its spherical with far batter sound and in device speech recognition.
No longer will you need to wait for Alexa to commit a command, now the artificial intelligence will locally process the audio in the Echo.
This is the fourth generation of the Amazon Echo and it certainly bring some interesting designs to the table, rather than a puck design we have a globe.
The addition of a AZ1 Neural Edge silicon module, processes the audio of voices using local machine learning speech recognition algorithms.
This is then sent on to the cloud, whereas at present the voice is sent to the cloud for processing, so this will save time on processing.
The new Echo will also feature Zigbee smart home hubs and will work with Amazon Sidewalk the company’s US local networking software.
The new Echo can be your on October 22nd, but pre-orders are already open.
