Next year when you are walking around London, you will no longer have to fear from soundless electric cars or bus’s for that matter.
All electric vehicles will play a sound when travelling at low speeds, but the noise they will make isn’t something you would expect.
Unlike the noise may noises cars will make, TFL have gone with quite a psychedelic sound.
Retrofitted audio to electric vehicles will not be a legal requirement till 2021, therefore TFL will gradually updated the fleet over the next couple of quarters.
The capital’s 100 route will get the new sounds for six months starting in January, before it expands to the C10 and P5 routes later in the year.
