Nothing due to launch the first smartphone this year with the Phone 1 as its designated name and OnePlus co-founder being the CEO of Nothing.
The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and have clear earbuds also available called the Ear 1, which will be wireless headphones.
Nothing has yet to share any specs on the new phone, however have mentioned that a light strip on the rear of the device may be available in the final product.
It’s not clear what these light strips may do yet, but the whole phone does look quite funky.
One possibility for the light is a notification light, a feature that was common on Blackberry and Android handsets till just a couple of years ago.
Nothing has started to release teaser images of the device; however, the images don’t really give any note to the capabilities of the device.
A press release recently stated that the Phone 1 will have an operating system that will be a reduction of Android, offering just the basics and essentials.
Nothing has an aim to bring a phone to market that has a singular focus on the simplicity of the product and ensuring that the software and hardware meet that brief.
