So far OnePlus have been pretty vocal about their up and coming TV, releasing teaser info every few weeks, you may remember we covered the remote control.
Well it is finally here a 55″ QLED panel with a “sleek minimalist design” and “nearly bezel-less screen.”
The TV comes with quantum dot colour and will support Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Sound wise you shouldn’t be disappointed with a 50 watt setup and 8 speaker giving you a “surreal surround sound experience”.
The speaker bar at the base of the unit reveals itself when in use, and when not, it withdraws back into the body.
The television has been designed to work with Google assistant and Alexa, despite having a Android operating system to allow it to work with the OnePlus handsets.
The OnePlus TV will only be available in India to start with priced at INR 69,900 (nearly $1,000). This is probably due to OnePlus commanding such a large market share with their handsets in India.
“We are also working hard to launch OnePlus TV in North America, Europe and China regions as soon as we establish partnerships with most of local and regional content providers,” Lau OnePlus CEO said last month.
