Panasonic seem to be getting very involved in Electric Vehicle Batteries having opened up a new plant in Kansas USA.
The press release states that Panasonic plan to create 4,000 jobs in the plant along with an additional 4,000 jobs within suppliers and community businesses.
There has been a lot of speculation as to whether the plant would be introduced in Kansas or Oklahoma.
This new location will have been selected with the incentives from Kansas State in mind, including a few hundreds of millions of dollars in rebates.
The new factory is expected to be bigger than the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada, and Panasonic are using this to assist in building Tesla batteries from 2024.
