Ports on the Xbox Series X have been revealed

There has been much speculation on what we should be expecting from Microsoft on the next Xbox Series X, images leaked online now show the ports.

The originally titled Project Scarlett has now received its official title from Microsoft as the Xbox Series X.

AMD had taken rendered fakes of images of the console to CES, however alleged photos have now appeared online of the prototype, which Microsoft is developing.

We first heard whispers of the new Xbox console last year, but Microsoft has been very coy about what they will be bringing to the market.

The new images released online show 2 USB-A ports on the back of the console and one on the front. A single HDMI out and optical audio in addition to the power and Ethernet ports.

However, there is one port which brings intrigue, a strange rectangular port that bears lo similarities to anything currently available.

Although as this console is not due for release for over a year, it is possible all of these may change, perhaps even a USB-C port will appear.

The fact that the new designs seem to have no HDMI capability means that Xbox may be swaying away from the original concept they had for the Xbox being the only gadget you needed to plug into your TV.
