Great news for those of you using EE, they have been named as the best mobile network in the UK by RootMetrics an independent tester. However, Vodefone are finally hot on their heels establishing themselves as close runners up.
When BT first purchased EE many were skeptical of the monopolisation of the telecoms industry and that it could allow them to reduce their customer care as they had market superiority. However, it couldn’t be further from the the truth. In fact EE have won or shared top spot for all 6 of the testers categories.
Vodafone, hot on the heels clears a solid second place in multiple categories. This included the overall category, as well as reliability, speed, data, call and text.
RootMetrics said “investments in Vodafone’s network, such as the roll out of carrier aggregation technology in major cities, was paying dividends.” In particular the “excellent reliability” of Vodafone.
51.7Mbps average for Liverpool.
EE still remain as the network to beat though as it has been since testing began 6 years ago in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
EE had the best aggregated median download speed of 37.6Mbps, beating Vodafone’s 21.7Mbps. Three was third with 13.6Mbps and O2 last with 11.1Mbps.
That is reflected also by their ratings this year.
