Amazon Prime user profiles finally

Amazon Prime is finally getting a Netflix style of user profiles. With the functionality to specify the user watching, to bring recommendations for you.

At present this is being trialed “in selected countries only” however we should expect it to be rolled out in the next few months internationally, with up to 6 users per account.

This means that you will be able to select accounts for your children to access so you won’t be constantly recommended children’s TV programs.

Furthermore it will allow personalized watch lists and serial/movie progress will be remembered for you, and not your sibling.

Meaning that even when someone else has finished a season you won’t get spoilers when you start the season the next day and it’s three episodes ahead of where you were.

This feature has been on Netflix almost since the start and with Disney+ launching this week it will be available from the get go, with up to 7 user profiles.

The user feature will be throughout the Prime video ecosystem, so whether you are on a phone or computer you will still get the personal treatment.

Why not try our artificially intelligent personal shopper and see what television is right for your lifestyle.
