Disney Plus is due in 42 more countries

Disney Plus is due for release in 42 more countries this summer that will definitely be keeping the likes of Netflix on their toes.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the list of countries the streaming service is planning to be unloaded upon.

Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City, and Yemen.

Disney Plus has exponential growth following the initial launch, however that has slowed recently.

This expansion may be to increase the audience and therefore, the revenue available to the streaming platform.

With close to 120m subscribers, you couldn’t say the platform was hard up, but it is seriously lagging behind Netflix, which is coming close to 222m subscribers.
