The durability tests of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have now been revealed to the public through a new marketing campaign.
The handsets have been available to the public for some time now, being released in August, however maybe the uptake in foldable was not as high as Samsung wished.
There have been some recent concerns raised online regarding the cracks in the Galaxy Z Flip 3 screens, which could have led to a fall in sales.
Samsung highlights in the video the rigorous testing that is performed against the handsets, including an environmental chamber, water, S-Pen and continued folding of the handsets.
This isn’t the first time that Samsung has publicly discussed the tests performed on the handsets, however it does seem that it could have stemmed from the concerns raised recently.
However, these tests are on new devices and not on handsets that have been used everyday for 2 months, which is where the issues appear.
Z Flip 3 screens seem to be cracking on the hinge mechanism, reports started being raised early October.
This isn’t the first Samsung Foldable device to encounter Issues, with the initial Fold being delayed due to the test units also displaying cracks prior to launch.
