The rumours of a folding iPhone have long been circling, however it seems an analyst with a strong tack record has set a date and that is 2023 for a folding iPhone.
The folding handset is likely going to have between 7.5 and 8 inch display, this makes it similar in size to the iPad mini.
This is a similar expected size to the Samsung Galaxy fold, a regular handset which folds out into a small tablet size.
Samsung and Motorola have already released their folding handsets, so Apple are a little behind the trend.
Current foldable handsets are in the higher price range, which may be the reason they are yet to have become the norm.
So we won’t see a new folding iPhone tomorrow, but it is likely we will see it in a few years once all the bugs have been resolved by their competition.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also has mentioned his belief that Apple my not be looking to pursue USB-C connectors in the near future for iPhones.
