Huawei has admitted sanctions imposed by the US have hit revenues

Huawei the Chinese telecommunication company has admitted that the sanctions imposed on it by the US have led to a hit to the mobile phone revenues.

The US first announced they had issues with the involvement of the Chinese government in the company back in 2019.

This then led to sanctions being put in place, blocking the sale of new handsets in the US alongside the restriction of the use of the Android OS.

The worry in the US has made its way across the pond meaning the UK has since also introduced restrictions to the use of Huawei tech in our national infrastructure, with Nokia gaining from the restrictions.

Since these sanctions Huawei has come out time and time again to argue that the Chinese government has no interference in the technology produced.

And although growth in other areas of the company have led to an overall profit for the past financial year Huawei did not want to underplay the impact the sanctions have had.

Overall revenue was up 3.8% due to the numerous other channels the company has for sales.
